Connecticut Art Trunk: Mixed Media, Vintage And Flea Market Treasures

The event is held Saturday, October 12, 2013, 8:00am - 2:00pm, at the Sheraton Stamford Connecticut, 700 E Main Street, Stamford. The event is open to the public.

Located at the hub of Art is...You - the East Coast Art Retreat. The 2013 Art Trunk will play host to lifestyle guru Matthew Mead. 

Mead is a writer, author, photographer, and lifestyle editor. Matthew is the official food photographer for the Associated Press and a regular contributor to Better Homes and Gardens and Victoria magazine.

The Art Trunk will also showcase art created by Chikumbuso Women and Orphans Project in Zambia which provides an alternative lifestyle to the most vulnerable women and children in the township.

Art Trunk features finished art such as collages, assemblages, art quilts, steam punk jewelry and altered art. They will also be selling supplies such as art papers, kits, beads, frippery, collage sheets, fibers, yarns, fabrics, unique vintage items and original flea market finds. There will be an exhibit of quilted Kimono's, and have a variety of make and take craft opportunities.

Entry is free but a donation at the door is encouraged. Your generosity will benefit the families cared for by Family to Family. A Hastings-on-Hudson based non profit, Family-to-Family’s mission is to alleviate suffering… one American family at a time.  

Art Trunk Stamford is in it's seventh year and welcomes over 400 visitors to the show. It is always supported by Sheraton Stamford.
