Market Madness Sundays

Sep 7, 2014 to Oct 5, 2014
10:00 AM

This event occurs weekly, on Sunday.

Sundays, September 7 – October 5, 10 am – 3:30 pm

Support local farmers and explore the SM&NC through hands-on activities and crafts. Our Sunday Farm Market runs through October 5 and will be the center of our Sunday programs. Participate in a self-guided craft on the Meadow, see oxen and goat demonstrations, and watch our North American River Otters — Bert and Edie — receive their lunch. At 1:30 pm, join us for a chance to “Follow Your Food” as we learn where some of our favorite foods come from through live animal visits and cooking experiences. Get an SM&NC Farm Journal and solve the Mystery Food of the Week, where we’ll learn about an ingredient featured at the market. All programs will meet on the Meadow. Craft, goat and oxen demos are weather permitting; Follow your Food will meet in the Overbrook Nature Center in case of inclement weather; Otter Feeding is rain or shine.
