St. Patrick's Day Events in Stamford

6 ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Stamford

What’s the only holiday where it’s acceptable to make a fool of yourself all under the guise of being Irish? You guessed it — St. Patrick’s Day. March 17th is fast approaching so grab your buds and celebrate like a true Irishman. Whether you plan on attending Stamford’s annual parade or one of the many bars, Stamford sure knows how to put on one heck of a St. Paddy’s Day party.

Stamford’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade

There’s no better way to celebrate winter’s unofficial end and welcome spring than being Irish for the day. Brave the cold and join Stamford’s finest pipers, marching bands and step dancers at Stamford’s 19th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, March 8th at 12:00 p.m. Honoring Grand Marshall Joe Tooher, the parade will start at Main Street and end in Latham Park so get there early to snag a good spot. Sponsors include Hudson Grille, Icap Shipping, Plaza Realty & Management, Naji Jewelers and First County Bank, just to name a few.

For info and photos from the parade, visit Stamford St. Patrick’s Day Facebook page or follow them on Twitter at @StamfordSPDP.
