4 sandwich shops to grab a bite in Stamford

Are you getting sick of your daily lunch routine? It’s time to skip the greasy pizza and make room for the good ol’ mighty sandwich. Stamford is home to some of the most delectable sandwich shops around, making it hard to choose our favorite. So we’ve decided to list our top four grab and go sandwich shops.

  1. The Sandwich Maestro: If you call yourself the sandwich maestro, then you better know how to make a delicious sandwich. At the Sandwich Maestro you can make your own masterpiece or take a “cue from the maestro.” We like the Mostly Mozartella, featuring layers of fresh mozzarella with herb roasted eggplant, sweet roasted red peppers and lettuce, served on a French Baguette, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and Balsamic vinegar. Or if you’re a meat eater, The Great Barenboim pilled high with tender top round roast beef and Swiss cheese.
    90 Atlantic Street, Stamford CT 06901, 203-325-0802.
  2. Giovanni’s Deli: Located at the corner of North and Franklin Street, Giovanni’s Italian Gourmet Deli serves up high-stacked sandwiches any way you like it. Choose from a variety of fresh ingredients and meats to craft your own creation or choose one of the deli’s famous specialty sandwiches like The Topper, The Italian Cutlet, and the Cajun Turkey Wrap.
109 North Street, Stamford CT 203-359-4117.
  3. Rinaldi’s Deli and Grill: There’s a reason why Rinaldi’s Deli and Grill has gathered a loyal following over the years. The deli offers a wide variety of premium Italian meats and specialty sandwiches from the classic Italian combo to the delicious chicken parmesan. We particularly like the prosciutto and provolone sandwich with roasted peppers and Italian dressing.
872 East Main Street, Stamford, CT, 06902 203-326-3354.
  4. Jenna Maries Catering & Deli: Whether you’re ordering for the entire office or just picking up a quick bite to eat, Jenna Maries Catering & Deli is sure to satisfy your taste buds. Choose from a variety of hot sandwiches from “Crazy Bobs Grill” or take your pick from the long list of specialty sandwiches like the El Nino, the Russian Roulette, and the Las Vegas.
    459 Summer Street, Stamford, CT, 06901, 203-977-0652.
