Providing Shelter

About 600 people took part in the Chocolate, Dessert & Wine Lover’s Evening at the Hilton Stamford to support the Shelter for the Homeless, which provides 23,000 bed nights and about 35,000 hot meals a year. The second annual event raised more than $25,000 for the shelter, which serves Stamford, Greenwich, New Canaan and Darien.

The evening featured a tasting of treats donated by more than seventy-five local vendors, and a performance by the Young Artists Jazz Ensemble and the Hart-Rainwater Trio featuring violinist Emma Hart, one of Stamford Magazine’s 2010 Top Ten Teens to Watch.
