Parents and friends of King Low Heywood Thomas rocked to a performance by Blues Traveler at the school’s new Performing Arts Center to cap its Black Tie and Blue Jeans fundraiser, which raised more than $150,000 to help fund King’s Upper School renovations.The annual spring gala included a pre-concert reception with a buffet and silent auction, and a live auction led by TV sports journalist Hannah Storm and Ed Orenstein, cochairman of King’s capital campaign. A private dinner for ten, prepared by chef Rui Correia of the Greenwich restaurant Douro, and Z-100 Jingle Ball tickets brought in the highest bids
