Inspirica, the former St. Luke’s LifeWorks, hosted the inaugural Spirit of Success gala at the Woodway Country Club in Darien, where the Women of Vision, Fairfield, was honored with the Impact Award for its role in helping people break the cycle of homelessness. Christine Palumbo of Stamford accepted the award on behalf of the organization. Following a cocktail reception, guests enjoyed dinner and an inspired presentation by an Inspirica client, who movingly credited the Stamford-based agency for helping her achieve and maintain permanent housing and stability for herself and her family.
Inspirica, one of the largest providers of services to the homeless in the state, and the largest in lower Fairfield County, provides emergency shelter, transitional housing and permanent supportive housing to about 230 people each night. Its programs include education and employment services, youth services and access to medical and dental care, inpatient substance-abuse treatment and psychiatric care
