Boys & Girls Club of Stamford

The annual City Chic gala, celebrated at the Stamford Sheraton, raised more than $155,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford, almost doubling net proceeds from last year. About 300 patrons turned out also to celebrate the Family of Mary C. and Frank D. Rich Sr., who were honored with the Guardian of the Community Award. Boardroom Inc. was bestowed the Corporate Partnership Award. These awards were presented by Michael Cotela, BGCS executive director, and Vincent Kiernan, BGCS board president. Bill Evans, WABC-TV senior meteorologist returned this year to serve as gala emcee. The cocktail party featured a buffet, signature cocktails, a silent auction and entertainment by local jazz artist Kelly Mittleman
