Center for Children's Advocacy

Sheila Perrin, president and cofounder of the Perrin Family Foundation, and Joseph L. Gaudett Jr., Bridgeport’s chief of police, received 2012 Champion of Children honors during a Sunshine in February gathering hosted by the Center for Children’s Advocacy at Trump Parc. The awards are presented annually to those who advocate for Connecticut youth in the state’s child welfare, education, juvenile justice and health-care systems.

About 150 supporters and advocates turned out for the reception, which was catered by Fairway Market. The awards were presented by Martha Stone, executive director of the CCA, Stacey Violante Cote, director of the CCA Teen Legal Advocacy Clinic, and board member Antonia Thompson.
