Speak Easy
Stamford Symphony
About 300 revelers in flapper and gangster garb enjoyed cocktails and an opening night Gershwin concert to celebrate Stamford Symphony’s Ragtime Rendezvous. Maestro Eckart Preu, and symphony board Chairman Steve Parrish, presented the Conductor’s Baton Award to Dinesh C. Paliwal, chairman, president & CEO of Harman International for his support of the Stamford Symphony and his commitment to music and the arts in Stamford.
The evening also included a silent auction, a Lucky Choice auction, and a raffle for an Upper Class trip for two to London, courtesy of Virgin Atlantic Airways and the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, and a HARMAN Whole Home Dream Audio Package. Together these raised more than $225,000 to support the symphony’s mission to encourage a lifelong appreciation of classical music through its professional performances.
