Curtain Call

More than 800 supporters of Stamford’s Curtain Call turned out to the Palace Theatre for the fifth annual Dancing with the Stars, the theater company’s fundraising cocktail reception and dance competition. Lori Mercede, with professional dance partner Ted Thomas, and Jeffrey Selden, who was paired with Sarah Lee Michaels, won Judges’ Choice Awards, while Steven M. Wise earned the People’s Choice Awards for most funds raised for Curtain Call. Lori also took home “friendraiser” honors. Moffly Media’s own Karen Kelly, accompanied by Lou Lopez, also competed. Other competitors included Wayne De Vingo, Jeanne Hendrickson, Theresa Rogers Matthews, Jimmy Romaniello, Mia Schipani, Nick Tamburro and Meri Wick. Serving as judges were Bill Evans, meteorologist for WABC-TV, Maureen Pavia and David Thomas Moore, manager of the new Dance With Me studio in Stamford.
