Michael Meyer and Kevin Durkin of Stamford Public Schools’ Alternative Routes to Success (ARTS) program, and L. Philip Guzman and Irma Camacho of Bridgeport’s Child and Family Guidance Center were presented with Champion of Children honors during a Sunshine in February reception at Trump Parc. The awards are presented annually by Martha Stone, executive director of the CCA, to those committed to improving the lives of the state’s most vulnerable children and youth.

About 150 supporters were on hand for the gathering, which was catered by Fairway Market. The Center for Children’s Advocacy is a Connecticut nonprofit that protects the legal rights of abused and neglected children.
