Local bartenders show off their talents in mixology

Stamford’s maestro mixologists packed their cocktail shakers and headed over to Parallel 41 for the first annual “Stamford’s Best Bartender event.” Michael Laccetti of the Hudson Grille, Sasha Korsupsin of Quattro Pazzi, Greg Pastor of Bar Taco and Josh Lira of Lola’s Mexican Kitchen served up signature drinks for an appreciative (and thirsty) crowd. Michael Laccetti’s Lemon Basil Martini—with just the right amount of sweet and sour—took home the trophy. Try your hand at the recipe for the winning cocktail, plus the other delicious contenders, and you’ll want your next happy hour to never end.

Hudson Grille - Lemon Basil Martini

Lemon Citron Vodka

1 ounce Basil simple syrup

3 squeezed lemon wedges

Shaken, served up and garnished with lemon twist and basil leaf

Pom Sunset – Quattro Pazzi

1 teaspoon muddled cucumber

1 oz Hendricks Gin

1/4 oz fresh lime juice

1/2 oz fresh ginger syrup

3/4 oz pomegranate juice

Malibu Red Margarita – Lola’s

2 oz. of Malibu red

1 oz. of agave

1 oz. o fresh lime juice

1 oz. of cranberry juice

Splash of grapefruit juice

Bartaco Margarita – Bartaco

1 1/2 ounces of tequila 

1 ounce of Combier liquor

1 1/2 ounce of lime juice 

1/4 ounce of agave syrup
