‘The city that works' kicked off its first Alive@Five of the summer Thursday, fully equipped with smiles, great food and amazing music. Featuring Wake Up Paradise, Kunjan Collective and KC and The Sunshine Band, hundreds of Fairfield County residents enjoyed a care-free block party atmosphere. The crowd was vibrant and energetic with a playful vibe, filled with laughter and dancing.

Old Greenwich resident Frank Usowski brought his daughter along with some of her friends, all newcomers. They strategically placed a blanket on the soft grass in Columbus Park, shaded by a large tree with a perfect view of the Bud Light stage.

“It’s our first time here and it’s brought the whole neighborhood together,” said Usowski. “It’s a lot of fun.”
This year’s lineup is jam packed with bands held close to our hearts, including Blues Traveler, Sugar Ray and The Beach Boys. The bands featured this year are probably some of the best in event history, as stated by Mike Pinto of Monroe.
