Model for a Day: Sarita Hanley

Looking through the fall fashion spread in our current issue, you might not recognize one of the fierce models as the lovely Sarita Hanley (she’s not wearing a hat!). For our fall fashion shoot she gladly allowed hair and makeup from Noble Salon to make her over. She was such a good sport throughout it all: the hot studio lights, the hours of prep and the hundreds of takes—hats off to her. She says of the transformation: “I loved the look so much, I plan to do it again!” Get to know the local mom-turned-fashion-model-for-the-day a little better here:
A day in the life: “My weekdays consist of some form of exercise and a volunteering job. Every day there is something that needs to be orchestrated, organized or written for the organizations I work for. Right now I am working on cochairing the annual Malta House Concert. There’s also the constant shuttling of my four kids. Then to end my day, my husband and I prepare meals together and dine when he gets home from work.
Favorite place to go for a night out: “My favorite Italian restaurant in Stamford, Café Silvium. I go there often for an amazing dinner with my husband or a special lunch with my girlfriends.”
Favorite bargain item: “New York City street pashminas in every color. They are so soft. I love them!”
Thoughts on the photo shoot: “It was so much fun to do this shoot with a great team of nine people who were working just to make sure I looked okay. Now I can understand how celebrities get so spoiled!”
