This Just In

The latest in Stamford this Spring

Hot Dish

City Limits Diner is turning ten this year and to celebrate, chefs Peter and Tracy Assue have been highlighting their favorite recipes from the past decade. In May, look for crab and ginger-crusted salmon stir-fry, and rice pudding with blueberry compote on the menu. More to come!

Take It Cheesy

You’ve seen the Melt Mobile parked in front of Veteran’s Park, serving gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and shaking up the street food scene in town. Don’t miss out any longer; there’s something for everyone, from the Insanewich, beef with Melt sauce sandwiched between two grilled cheeses, to the Svelte Melt, made with low-fat Jarlsberg, grilled veggies and pesto aioli on Beldotti’s seven-grain bread. Yum!

Quick Steps

Our very own Tony Dovolani, with brothers Maksim and Val Chmerkovskiy, will open a Dance With Me studio on Summer Street. This location, the fourth in the regional chain owned by the Dancing With The Stars trio, will offer classes in ballroom taught by accomplished dancers, all trained by Tony, Maks and Val. Dancing the cha-cha!

Cool Buzz

Stamford is bound to become the area’s capital of beer culture with the summer opening of the micro-brewery Half Full Brewery, headed by Conor Horrigan. Flagship beers will include a variety of ales, and seasonals like espresso chocolate stout and spiced amber ale. Tasting, anyone?
