With a chill in the air, there’s nothing like a good run to get your blood pumping. Troy Burk and Victoria Gouletas, the husband-and-wife co-owners of Fleet Feet Sports, which offers the latest sneakers, running gadgets and workout gear, know this. “We’re trying to create a community around fitness,” says Victoria. How? By asking us all to ditch our solo treadmill treks and hit the streets with some of our neighbors for three-mile lunch runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Too busy at work? Join their Saturday morning runs and Sunday afternoon family fun runs instead. Need some extra incentive to get moving? Check out the popular Wednesday night pub runs starting at 6:30 from Fleet Feet. With a couple of guilt-free beers at a local watering hole as your reward, don’t be surprised if you push yourself a little harder than usual. For an added treat, check out their pub runs to Stamford’s Half Full Brewery on the last Wednesday of every month. “We run three to five miles and then we have a couple of their beers in their tasting room,” Victoria says.
