Damon Wayans’s sitcom My Wife and Kids (2001-2004) was set in Stamford.

Andy Warhol may have been a fixture in Manhattan but scenes from Factory Girl (2006), the biopic that dissects the late iconic artist’s relationship with his muse, Edie Sedgwick, were filmed here.

Jennifer Connelly, Mark Ruffalo and Joaquin Phoenix made a pit stop here to film the brooding drama Reservation Road (2007).

Director Ang Lee’s suburban noir classic, The Ice Storm (1997), was set in New Canaan, but scenes were shot on location in Stamford too.

After scenes from the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008) were filmed here, its production team sold off stars Blythe Danner, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Beidel’s wardrobes (including many pairs of pants) in a warehouse-style tag sale.

Actress Isla Fisher fueled her retail addiction at Springdale’s United House Wrecking when she filmed scenes for Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009).

John Travolta and Robin Williams were spotted all over Stamford, including the Palace Theatre, while in town filming Old Dogs (2009).

Showtime’s series The Big C (2010-2013), which features Emmy-winning actress Laura Linney in the role of wife and mother whose attitude about life is altered by a cancer diagnosis, is currently filming its fourth and final season here.

More than 100 episodes of the sitcom Are We There Yet? (2010-2013) starring Terry Crews, Essence Atkins and Ice Cube were filmed at the Connecticut Film Center studios in Stamford. TBS is currently airing the show’s third season

Of course, the Maury, Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos and Trisha Goddard talk shows, as well as The People’s Court, all make their studio homes here.

And coming soon to a theater near you is Tyler Perry’s We The Peeples (2013), with scenes filmed around town, including Cove Island Park.
